Some of you may feel the government does not do enough for us, or it doesn’t matter what party is in charge because your day to day life is hard regardless.  I understand the motivation to participate may seem hopeless and pointless.  In times like this, it might feel like the sensible thing to do is focus on your own family.  But that’s exactly how the system wants you to feel.  Politicians and billionaires are rigging the rules to make us feel discouraged and checked out. That’s how they retain power.  They know our vote matters, and that’s why they are trying to convince you it doesn’t.

Our hospital is back on the list of rural health hospitals at high risk of closing.  This is a direct result of Rep. Fong’s vote to cut Medicaid. In contrast, Trump is building a $1 billion dollar ballroom that taxpayers will now be funding and it has its own hospital.  It seems pretty clear that the politicians in power care more about their parties than the rest of us.

Voting in June won’t fix everything overnight. But when enough people in our community show up, we can start to unrig the system and take it back for the people.  Please vote.
