Ways to help

Write to your Representatives

When we get responses from Rep. Fong’s office, we need to share that with the community so people are aware of his position. So far, the most successful way to get a response from his office is to fill out an online form. Be prepared to wait 3 months for a response and have it be impersonal. https://fong.house.gov/contact

Pro-tip: Send the same letter that you wrote to Representative Vince Fong to Senator Adam Schiff. https://www.schiff.senate.gov/contact/get-in-touch/

Small Group Leaders

We need to build the fabric of our movement by supporting each other though these tough times. Indivisible is encouraging small group social gatherings to form stronger bonds within our group. People need more interaction than just protesting. Small groups help people stays engaged and motivated in the mission. We need to build our trusted friend network to build the resistance.

Treasurer

We need someone who is not a civil servant to watch over our budget. Civil servants are restricted from fundraising for political purposes.

DJ

We have an ASCAP music license for 2026. We need someone to manage a playlist and mix it up a bit between events.

Protest Leads

Our group has grown to a point where we can start to hand off these events to other people to manage. We are looking for people to bring new energy into our events.

Marshals

For our Mass National Events, we need marshals to work as crossing guards for marches, be our eyes and ears, and help with de-escalation.

Be apart of the Research Team

It takes a lot of work to be well informed and check multiple sources to verify the news about the Trump Administration and how everything impacts CA-20 & CA-23. If we have people willing to follow one topic, we can help each other be better informed while reducing some of the burden of researching all the topics alone. If you would like to pick a city or topic to research, please let me know. Information collected will go into our newsletters and could be a topic for a protest.

  • Possible topics: Executive Orders, Rural Health, Signal Gate, Federal Workers, Deportations and ICE, Tariffs & Trade, Department of Health & Human Services, Department of Education, Supreme Court rulings, National Parks, etc.
  • Cities in CA-20: Ridgecrest, Tehachapi, Lemoore, Clovis, Taft, Bakersfield, Visalia, Tulare, Hanford, or Fresno.
