Federal Employees & Public Facing Employees
If you’re a federal worker (NAVAIR, HUD, BLM, etc.) or have a job that is public facing, don’t wear anything that would indicate which agency you work for. You are there as a private citizen, not representing the company/agency you work for.
Federal employees can’t legally represent their agency while protesting. You also cannot organize during your core working hours. Not even during your break or on lunch if you are on government property. You can organize on your lunch hour at a coffee shop or restaurant off government property.
As the organizer of the events, I have faced no backlash at work for my activities because I make sure to do them when I am off work.
People who are concerned that your too public facing and can’t be out there. I’d like you to ask yourself, are you more public facing than the Mayor of Ridgecrest who attended No Kings 2 as a professor to give a lecture on the Constitution?
The only people who really can not attend are people of SES level who have further restrictions on their activities due to the Hatch Act.
