No Kings 2.0:
March and Protest

Saturday, October 18th starting at 9am
Freedom Park, 100 W California Ave. Ridgecrest, CA

🚨Trump is pouring public money into his authoritarian takeovers of cities—deploying federal forces, seizing local police departments, and funding mass detention and deportation operations—all while cutting services that working families rely on every single day.

😡They’ve gone too far. This is bigger than political disagreement. The administration has defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services—all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies. Enough is enough.

❌👑This country doesn’t belong to strongmen. It belongs to the people.  President Trump has indicated that he’s aiming for a third term. But the American people don’t put up with kings.  That’s why we say: No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

✊ We had 288 people attend our last No Kings Protest in June.  It’s time to go big and do a march.

Schedule for 10/18

  • 9am Guest Speakers:
    • Travis Endicott: Former assistant professor of Political Science and current adjunct professor of National Security Studies
    • Sandra Van Scotter:
      Candidate for District 20
    • Patrick Robb:
      Candidate for District 20
  • 10am March: Tour symbolic landmarks and actual places being negatively impacted by the Trump Administration
  • 11am Protest: Sidewalks of Ridgecrest & China Lake Blvd.

March Route

⚠️If you are unable to walk 1.5 miles, you also have the option to go straight to east sidewalks of Ridgecrest & China Lake Blvd. We will have volunteers stationed there starting at 10:00.

💯Bring flags, but don’t invert them. When we show that we are under distress, authoritarians win. They want to beat us down and break our spirits so that we will submit to their will. Stand strong and celebrate your 1st Amendment Right joyfully. The best way to maintain our rights is to exercise them peacefully to prove they shouldn’t be taken away from us.

Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

#NoKingsRidgecrest is being jointly hosted by Ridgecrest 50501 and Ridgecrest United.

📅 The ACLU is hosting a “Protest Safety, Know Your Rights & De-Escalation Training” webinar on 10/6 at 5pm and 10/15 at 4pm.
It is strongly encouraged that everyone attends one of these options.

🙋🙋‍♂️Federal workers: You have the right to protest in your own time. While protesting, don’t wear anything that would make it look like you’re representing the agency. Before the event, you also can’t share/organize while on company property at any time during your shift. This includes restrictions while on your break and inside your POV! You need to be off agency property.

Prop 50: The Election Rigging Response Act

💢Trump has ordered Republican states to do mid-cycle redistricting and force the new lines on their constituents to reduce the number of House democratic representatives.

🗳️Prop 50 is not the same thing.  It is a temporary redistricting that Californians get to vote on.  Our independent redistricting commission only works when everyone plays fair. Republicans have moved the goalpost.  We can’t keep playing the same game or we will lose our country and never get it back.  We have to call foul on this power grab and act now.

✅Prop 50 levels the playing field to allow voters across the country to decide who controls the House in 2026.
