☮️Both Indivisible and 50501 stand for non-violent legal resistance. I would like to share a statement from Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible,
“…at Indivisible we’re very clear: political violence is a cancer on democracy. It doesn’t matter if you disagree politically — and we strongly disagreed with Charlie Kirk on basically everything. But we’re clear that political violence in any form is an attack on the basic conditions that allow everyone to organize and voice their views.
There’s a clear line: Do you condemn all political violence, no matter the perpetrator or the target? In the Indivisible movement, we are people who will condemn, with our whole hearts, such violence no matter the target or the perpetrator. We know the path forward is nonviolent, peaceful organizing.”
🚫 There is no place for political violence in our group.
The political climate may be getting hot, but we will not concede in advance. It is a normal response to feel afraid or uncertain about being out there and protesting.
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” – Nelson Mandela
💪We will press forward with our rally tomorrow in support of Prop 50. You may think this is an obvious thing that liberals would get onboard with, but we do need to work to win over public opinion on this. I don’t like how District 20 will end up getting redrawn, but we need to look at the big picture and realize this is the appropriate response to the GOP’s power grab. 😴 We can’t be do-nothing-democrats who standby and watch republicans steal the country forever because our core principles held us back.
This doesn’t make us hypocrites. It makes us mirrors in the face of injustice.
We need more signs on Prop 50. Let’s try to focus on this for the next 2 protests.

🌟 We may be living in dark times, but there is still hope. The future is not determined yet. A government shutdown on the horizon where democratic leaders can push back on Trump’s big horrible bill. They intend to make wins for healthcare and put checks on Trump’s power.
It’s time to hold the line! Join us, to support Governor Newsom and congressional democrats taking a stand!
Saturday 9/20 & 10/4: 9-11am, Ridgecrest & China Lake Blvd.
